How to report bugs and what to do in case of critical issues.
We try to provide the best experience possible, but Hytale is still in early access and bugs may occur. If you encounter any bugs while using our software, we encourage you to report them so that we can address them promptly.
Critical Bugs
If you encounter a critical bug that severely impacts your experience or the functionality of the software, please report it immediately. Critical bugs include issues that cause crashes, duplication of items, or significant security vulnerabilities.
Please do NOT report these critical bugs in the chat or share them publicly, as this may expose users to potential risks before a fix is implemented.
Instead, report critical bugs directly to the development team by creating a ticket in our Discord server or sending an email to admin@citytales.net.
Do not hesitate to provide as much detail as possible, including steps to reproduce the bug, screenshots, and any relevant logs. Also feel free to ping a member of the development team directly if you need immediate assistance.
Non-Critical Bugs
For non-critical bugs, such as minor glitches, visual issues, or other inconveniences that do not severely impact functionality, you can report them in the appropriate channels.
You can open a post in the #bugs discord channel or create a ticket in our Discord server.
We also have the /bugreport command available in-game, which allows you to quickly submit a bug report directly from the game interface.
When reporting non-critical bugs, please provide a clear description of the issue, steps to reproduce it, and any relevant screenshots or logs.
Please be patient as the development team prioritizes and addresses these reports based on their severity and impact on the user experience.
