Developer

Role Overview

As a Developer, you will be responsible for developing custom features, maintaining server performance, and supporting the technical infrastructure. You will work closely with administrators, community managers, and moderators to turn ideas into reliable in-game systems.

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Enjoys problem-solving and optimization
• Has experience with Hytale and/or Minecraft server development
• Wants to build systems used by an active player base

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom plugins or server-side systems
• Fix bugs and address performance or stability issues
• Optimize server performance and scalability
• Assist with updates, version migrations, and testing
• Collaborate with staff to implement new gameplay features
• Document systems and changes for staff reference
• Ensure code quality, security, and maintainability

Requirements

• Experience with Hytale and/or Minecraft server development
• Proficiency in Java
• Knowledge of Git or other version control systems
• Understanding of server performance and optimization
• Ability to debug and solve technical issues independently
• Clear communication skills when working with non-technical staff

Preferred (but not required):

• Familiarity with databases (MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse)
• Experience with modded servers
